Overview

Cademy’s AI Course Builder helps you quickly build structured lessons and quizzes for your on-demand or blended courses. Just type a short prompt, and the AI will generate lesson content tailored to your instructions.

For best results, you can also upload your own reference materials (PDFs or images) to guide the AI.

How to Use the AI Course Builder

Step 1: Open Your Course

  • Go to your on-demand or blended course.

  • Click on the “Contents” tab in the course settings.

Step 2: Click “AI Course Builder”

Click the AI Course Builder button to open the prompt box. This tool generates new lessons based on your instructions.

Step 3: Add a Prompt

Type a short description of what you want the course to cover.

You can also include extra details such as:

  • Number of lessons

  • Quiz preferences

  • Tone or audience (e.g. beginners, healthcare, teenagers)

Step 4: (Optional – But Strongly Recommended) Attach Your Materials

You can upload your own files to help the AI create better content - and we strongly recommend doing this. When the AI can "read" your materials, the lessons will match your subject, style, and goals much more closely.

Why it’s important:
If no files are attached, the AI relies only on your course title and prompt. Even a short outline makes a big difference.

Accepted file types (currently supported):

  • Documents: PDF

  • Images: PNG, JPEG

What to upload:

  • Slide decks

  • Course outlines

  • Lesson plans or handouts

  • Teaching notes

  • Key diagrams or visuals

💡 Pro Tip: Even one file can make a big difference.
