Cademy Has Retired Its Marketplace Feature

What retiring Cademy’s marketplace feature means for course promotion, fees, existing bookings and your minisite links.

Written by Artur Binzaru

Cademy’s focus remains on providing a course booking system, a training management system (TMS), a training CRM (customer relationship management system), a course builder and a learning management system (LMS) in one place.

Only the marketplace feature has been retired: the public directory where people could search for courses and training providers is no longer available.

Are There Still Marketplace Fees?

  • New direct bookings through your Cademy minisite, website embeds or WordPress: no marketplace fee.

  • Older orders, memberships and old checkout or payment links: marketplace fees can still apply, including on later payments.

Your usual Cademy plan charges, platform fees and payment-provider fees are separate and still apply where required by your plan or agreement.

To check a fee on an order, open it in Orders and look for Marketplace fees. For membership payments, see Manage Membership Subscribers.

What Happens to Existing Bookings?

Retiring this feature does not cancel existing bookings or change learners’ existing course access. Learners can keep using the same account. You do not need to recreate bookings or ask customers to pay again because of this change.

Existing orders and reviews remain in your account. For payment and payout guidance, see How You Get Paid for Bookings.

Provider-issued gift cards and discounts keep their existing conditions. Older Cademy promotional offers may not work for direct bookings.

What Happens to My Old Course and Profile Links?

Your minisite is the public website Cademy provides for your business, at an address such as your-name.cademy.io.

Supported old course and profile links redirect to your minisite. Some old listings are no longer available.

Open Profile → View Your Public Site to find your minisite address. Use your current minisite and course links wherever you promote your courses.

Does Cademy Promote My Courses?

No. Cademy does not advertise your courses or find customers for you. Cademy provides the tools to publish, sell and deliver your courses. You are responsible for promoting them and attracting customers, for example through your own website, emails or social media.

The separate Show on Google setting lets eligible minisite pages be considered for search results; Google decides whether to show them, and visitors or bookings are not guaranteed.

If you joined for exposure through the retired directory, that service is no longer available. If you paid specifically for it, contact Cademy Support about your agreement.

Does This Cancel My Cademy Plan or Learner Memberships?

No. Retiring this feature does not automatically cancel your Cademy software plan or existing learner memberships. Your Cademy plan continues to provide the software for running your courses.
