What Are Private Dates?
Private Dates are course sessions that are not publicly visible. These dates:
Are only accessible via direct invitation or link.
Are ideal for private training sessions, exclusive workshops, or customised group bookings.
How to Create and Manage Private Dates
To add dates, use the steps in Spaces & Dates. To make an existing date private, open Courses, choose the course, then use the date’s three-dot menu and select Edit. Under Booking, set Visibility to Private, then select Save.
Link a private date to an organisation
Use a linked organisation for an in-house or bespoke training session. An organisation is the company record in your Cademy account. You need the System Admin role to select or create an organisation. You can create it while editing the date:
Open Courses, choose the course, then open the date’s three-dot menu and select Edit.
Under Booking, set Visibility to Private. This requires the Private Course Dates feature on your account.
Open Linked Organisation. Choose an existing organisation, or select Create Organisation. If you have typed a search, clear it to see Create Organisation.
In New Organisation, enter Organisation Name and the other details you need, then select Create Organisation.
The organisation panel closes and the new organisation is selected. Finish the date’s settings and select Save.
The date details you entered are kept while the organisation panel is open. Closing that panel without creating an organisation returns to the date with its previous selection. Typing a new name in the dropdown only searches; it does not create an organisation.
Creating the organisation saves its own record straight away. Save the date as well to keep the link between them.
Visibility Rules for Private Dates
Private Dates follow strict visibility rules:
Minisite: Private Dates are hidden from the educator’s Minisite.
Embeds: Private Dates are excluded from embed displays such as lists, grids, or calendars.
Checkout Page: Private Dates do not show on the course checkout page unless accessed via a direct link.
Marketplace: Private Dates will not appear in search results or course listings on your Marketplace Profile.
Plan Requirements for Private Dates
Changing date visibility requires the Private Course Dates feature. It is included in Starter, Pro and Teams. Custom and legacy accounts depend on their agreed features.
