Check Where a Feedback Form Is Used

Check which courses and lessons use a Feedback form, understand account-default counts and find out why a form cannot be deleted.

Written by Artur Binzaru

For System Admins and Course Owners, the Usage tab shows which courses and lessons use a Feedback form. It separates courses that use the account default from courses that choose the form in their own settings.

Open a feedback form’s Usage tab

  1. Sign in at admin.cademy.io and select Forms.

  2. Open the Feedback form you want to check.

  3. Select Usage. Check the account-default notice, the course list and any lesson list separately.

Usage shows where the form is configured. It is not a count of feedback requests or submitted answers. Selecting a form does not itself send a feedback request.

Understand the account-default course count

Your account default is the Feedback form used by courses that do not choose an available Feedback form of their own.

If this form is selected as your account default, Usage shows This is your account default and the number of courses using it that way. Those courses are counted here, rather than listed by name.

The Usage tab for First Aid Course Feedback shows 7 courses using the account default and 2 courses choosing it directly.

Example: First Aid Course Feedback is the account default. Seven courses use it through the default, and two other courses choose it directly. That makes nine courses using it as their Feedback form. Only the two direct choices appear in the course list.

The default count excludes archived courses. If every course has its own Feedback form, the notice still identifies your account default and explains that every course has its own right now.

Select Feedback Settings to open Settings → Feedback & Reviews and check Default feedback form. For changing the default or choosing a course’s form, see Set Up Course Feedback Forms and Reviews.

Check courses that choose the form directly

For an account-default form, the separate course list is introduced by wording such as 2 courses also choose it in their own Feedback settings. For another form, This form is used by 2 courses. refers to its direct course choices.

Select View beside a course to open its Feedback & Reviews settings. A course marked Archived can still appear as a direct use, but has no View button. Do not count that archived entry as an active course.

The course total can be larger than the visible list: Usage displays up to 50 directly assigned courses. The account-default count is separate from this list limit.

Check which lessons contain the form

A Feedback form can also appear inside a lesson as a Form block. Usage lists these lessons separately, with their course names. Select View beside a lesson to open it. The list shows up to 50 lessons; if there are more, a note shows how many are not listed.

A lesson use is not another course to add to the Feedback-form course totals. A course can use one form for course feedback and contain a different form inside a lesson. For adding, replacing or removing lesson forms, see Add Forms to Lessons.

Why does Course Review show only a few courses?

Course Review is Cademy’s built-in Feedback form. Its name does not mean it is currently your account’s selected default. If another form is selected as the default, courses using that default are counted on the other form’s Usage tab.

When your account has no available default Feedback form selected, Cademy uses the built-in Course Review form instead. Its Usage tab shows Used by default and counts the courses that use it this way.

A course without its own available Feedback form therefore falls back to the account default, or to Course Review. That does not mean feedback requests are automatically enabled; request settings are separate.

Why can’t I delete my default feedback form?

Cademy prevents deleting or archiving a form while it is selected as the account default, even when the default course count is zero.

Delete Form explains that First Aid Course Feedback is the account default, with Feedback Settings available and Delete disabled.

Use Feedback Settings in the default-form warning, or open Settings → Feedback & Reviews. Choose another Default feedback form and select Save. Then return to the original form’s Usage tab.

Changing the account default does not replace direct course choices or lesson Form blocks. Those uses must also be removed or replaced before deletion. The built-in Course Review form cannot be deleted. Follow the full steps to replace uses and delete or archive a feedback form before continuing.
