Overview

You can control how long students have access to your On-Demand and Blended courses after they enrol. Once the access period ends, students will no longer be able to view the course content.

How to Set a Time-Limited Access Period

You can choose to give students indefinite access or restrict their access to a specific number of days after booking.

For New Students

  1. Go to your Cademy dashboard and open the course you want to edit.

  2. Click “Edit Course”, then go to the “Settings” tab.

  3. Find “Access Options” menu.

  4. Under “Students should have access to the private tuition,” choose one of the two options:

    • Indefinitely / until removed by you

    • For a limited time – then enter the number of days.

This setting applies to all new bookings only.

For Existing Students

If you'd like to change the access period for a specific student:

  1. Open the Bookings page in your admin dashboard.

  2. Click on the student’s booking to open the side panel.

  3. Find “Access Expires” click the pencil icon, and set a new expiry date.

What Students Will See

  • Students will see the message “Access expires on [date]” in their booking summary.

What Happens When Access Has Expired

If a student tries to access a course after their access has expired:

  • A message titled "Access Expired" will appear, with three action buttons:

    • Back to Order

    • Re-enrol Now

    • Contact Educator

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Which courses does this apply to?

This works for both On-Demand and Blended courses.

If I set a time limit, when does it start?

The timer starts on the date of booking. For example, if you set 30 days, access will end 30 days after purchase.

Can I change the access time for just one student?

Yes. Go to the Bookings page, open their booking, and change the expiry date manually.

What happens when a student’s access expires?

They won’t be able to access the course content. They’ll see a message that it has expired, with options to re-enrol or contact you.

Will customers lose access if I unpublish the course?

No. Unpublished courses are still accessible to enrolled students.

Will customers lose access if I archive the course?

Yes. Archived courses are no longer accessible—even for students who still had time left.
