Understanding Fees on Cademy
Platform Fees
Free Plan: A 5% platform fee is charged on all successfully paid transactions, including those made through your Minisite, embeds on your website, payment links, invoices, and the Cademy Marketplace.
Paid Plans (Pro, Teams): No platform fee is charged on transactions. However, payment processing fees and the Marketplace fee (if applicable) still apply.
Payment Processing Fees
Cademy partners with Stripe, PayPal, and Klarna for secure online payments. While Cademy does not impose additional processing fees, the payment processors charge their standard fees, which typically range from 1.5% to 3.2% per transaction.
Marketplace Sales Fees
If you choose to list your courses on the Cademy Marketplace, the following fees apply to each sale made through the Marketplace:
Marketplace Fee: A 10% fee is charged on each sale made through the Marketplace. This fee supports Cademy’s marketing efforts and helps increase the visibility of your courses.
Platform Fee: If you are on the Free plan, a 5% platform fee is also charged on all transactions, including those made through the Marketplace.
Payment Processing Fee: Standard payment processing fees apply, typically ranging from 1.5% to 3.2% per transaction, depending on the payment processor you use (e.g., Stripe, PayPal, or Klarna).
These fees only apply to sales made through the Cademy Marketplace. Sales made through your website or Minisite do not incur the Marketplace fee but may still be subject to platform and payment processing fees depending on your plan.

Setting up your account on Cademy is straightforward:
Visit cademy.io or admin.cademy.io.
Click on the "Log In or Sign Up" button, usually located at the top-right corner of the page.
Enter your email. If there's no existing account registered with this email, you'll be prompted to provide basic details like your name, phone number, and a password.
If an account already exists with this email (like a customer account), you'll see an option to "Create an Educator" button.
During this process, you will have the opportunity to add your profile name and set your profile URL. The profile URL will be automatically pre-filled, but you can optionally change it at this stage.
Can I receive payments through Cademy?

Yes, Cademy partners with Stripe, PayPal, and Klarna for secure online payments. You can link your accounts in your Cademy admin dashboard, and payments are deposited directly into your account once an order is placed. Standard processing fees apply.
