Setting Up Email Domains on Cademy

This will make your emails appear more professional, but more importantly, it is likely to improve your email deliverability and open rates. Follow the steps to set it up custom emails domains on your Cademy account.

  3. You’ll be provided with DNS records that need to be added to your domain’s DNS settings.

You will need to add the provided DNS records to your domain provider’s DNS settings (e.g., GoDaddy, Namecheap). As an example, the records might look like this:

💡 Tip 1: The exact records you need to add may vary, so always use the ones provided by Cademy in the Email Domains section for your specific domain. If you’re not sure how to add these records, check your domain provider’s help section or forward the instructions to your IT team using the “Copy All” button.

💡 Tip 2: If you need help adding DNS records based on your domain provider, try searching on Google using keywords like:

  • GoDaddy: “How to add DNS records in GoDaddy”

  • Namecheap: “How to add DNS records in Namecheap”

  • Google Domains: “How to add DNS records in Google Domains”

  • Bluehost: “How to add DNS records in Bluehost”

  • Cloudflare: “How to add DNS records in Cloudflare”

Use the format: “How to add DNS records in [Your Domain Provider]” to get detailed instructions directly from your provider’s support resources.

Step 4: Verify the Domain

Verification Time: It can take up to 24-48 hours for the changes to propagate. Once verified, the status will change from PENDING to VERIFIED.

Step 5: Set a Default Sender Email

• After verification, enter your default sender email under Default Sender. This email will be used for all outgoing communications from Cademy.

Reset Option: If you want to revert to the default Cademy email (no-reply@system.cademy.io), click the “Reset to Default” button.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Why is my domain still showing as “Pending”

Domain verification can take 24-48 hours after you have added the DNS records. Make sure the DNS records were correctly added to your domain provider’s settings. If your domain remains pending after this period, try refreshing the domain status in the Cademy dashboard. If the issue persists, contact Cademy support.

What happens if I want to remove my custom domain?

You can remove your custom domain at any time from the Email Domains page. However, if the domain is set as your default sender, you will first need to update or remove the default sender before removing the domain.

Do I need to renew my domain verification periodically?

No, once your domain is verified, it remains active unless you change or remove the DNS records. If the records are altered or deleted, the verification may be invalidated, requiring you to re-verify the domain.

What should I do if I don’t know how to add DNS records?

If you’re unfamiliar with adding DNS records, check your domain provider’s help documentation by searching online for instructions (e.g., “How to add DNS records in GoDaddy”). Alternatively, forward the DNS record instructions to your IT team or support person for assistance.
