Managing timezones is essential for creators hosting courses across different regions. Cademy offers easy-to-use tools to ensure seamless scheduling, consistent communication, and accurate timing across all your courses and occurrences.



Default Timezone Settings

Profile Timezone

When you create a Cademy account, your browser’s timezone is automatically set as the default.

  • This setting applies to all new courses unless manually updated.

Course Timezone

Courses inherit the profile’s default timezone:

  • You can customise the timezone for individual courses in Advanced Settings.

Occurrence Timezone

Occurrences inherit the course’s default timezone when created:

  • You have the flexibility to assign a specific timezone to each occurrence.

Updating Timezones Individually

To change the timezone for a single occurrence:

1. Log in to your Cademy Admin Dashboard.

2. Open the course and navigate to the Dates tab.

3. Select the occurrence you want to edit.

4. Use the Timezone Dropdown to select the desired timezone.

5. Save the changes.


Viewing Timezone Information

Cademy displays timezone information across various areas for clarity:

  • Course Dashboard: Displayed in the dates block.

  • Admin Settings: Visible in the dates list under course settings.

  • Public Course Page: Customers can view timezone details for occurrences.

  • Payment Confirmation: Timezone information is included in emails and booking confirmations.

  • Calendar Integration: Timezones sync when students use the “Add to Calendar” feature.


Important Notes

  • Manual Updates for Occurrences: Changing a course’s timezone does not automatically update existing occurrences. Adjust these individually to ensure accuracy.

  • Use Consistent Timezones: Consistency reduces confusion for students attending courses across regions.
