Switch Between Course Provider Accounts

Open the right business account when one Cademy login has access to several, see what changes when you switch, and find out what to do when an account is missing.

Written by Artur Binzaru

If you use one Cademy login to manage more than one course provider account, you can choose which business account to open from your Admin Dashboard.

Your login identifies you. Each business account is a separate workspace. You need access to a business account through the login you are using before you can switch to it.

If the Admin Dashboard shows You Don't Have Access To This Educator or You Don't Have Access To Any Educators, use the missing-business checks in the login guide. The switching steps below start from a business account you can already open.

Switch to another business account

  1. Open your Admin Dashboard. If you are asked to log in, use the email address that has access to the business account.

  2. Select the current business name, logo or initials in the sidebar to open the account menu.

  3. Under Switch Account, select the business account you want to open.

  4. After the dashboard opens, open the account menu again. Check the business name at the top before making changes or managing bookings.

The business account you already have open is not repeated under Switch Account. If your login has access to one business account only, Switch Account lists no other account and shows only Create Free Account.

What changes when you switch

  • The Admin Dashboard shows one business account at a time. After you switch, the courses, orders, contacts and Inbox conversations you see are those of the business account you opened.

  • Your role belongs to each business account separately. You can be a System Admin in one business account and a Course Owner or Facilitator in another, so the pages you can open can differ after you switch.

  • Who receives notification emails is chosen in each business account separately. See Choose Team Notifications and Calendar Invitations.

Switching does not log you out and does not change your login. You keep the same login email for every business account. To see it, open the account menu and select My Profile.

On the same browser, the Admin Dashboard opens the business account you used last, until you log out. After you log in again, check the business name at the top of the account menu.

How a business account is added to your login

  • You are invited as a team member. When a business account invites the email address you log in with, that business account is added to the same login, with the role chosen in the invitation. See Invite Team Members and Manage Their Access.

  • You create another business account. See Create another business account below.

If the business account is missing

  1. Check the business name at the top of the account menu. It could already be the account you want.

  2. From the account menu, select My Profile. Check the email address shown on your profile. Access given to a different login will not appear in this login's account list.

  3. If the business account gave access to a different email address, open the account menu and select Log Out. Log back in with that email address, then open the account menu again.

  4. If the business account is still missing, ask the person who manages its team access to check that your login has active access. Switching accounts does not give you access to another business account.

If you still cannot find the business account, email support@cademy.io with the business name, the email address you use to log in and what you see in the account menu. Do not send your password or an email login code.

Create another business account

  1. Visit https://cademy.io/create-educator, or select Create Free Account under Switch Account in the account menu.

  2. If you are asked to sign in, sign in with the email address of your existing Cademy account, using the sign-in method shown.

  3. On Create a Business Profile, enter the Business Name and Cademy Page URL, then select Get Started.

This creates another business profile under your existing login. It does not replace the account you already manage. Cademy then opens the new business account.

Creating another business account does not restore access to a missing one. For every way to create an account, see How to create a new Cademy Creator account/profile?.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need a separate login for each business account?
No. One login can have access to more than one business account. Use the account menu to choose from the business accounts available to that login.

Does Create Free Account open an existing business account?
No. Create Free Account opens the Create a Business Profile form. To open an existing business account, choose its name under Switch Account. Creating another business account is not a way to restore missing access.

I also use Cademy as a learner. How do I move between my learner pages and a business account?
Your learner pages and your business accounts use the same login. From the Admin Dashboard, open the account menu and select Student Profile. To come back, open admin.cademy.io. Where a Cademy page shows a My Account menu, the business accounts of your login are also listed there under Admin Dashboard.

Can I unlink a business account from my login?
Contact Cademy support to ask about changing your access to that account.

Can I add users to a business account?
Yes. See Invite Team Members and Manage Their Access for the steps and permissions.
