Sell one course at different prices or fees, such as a standard and a reduced rate, a fee for each licence type, an early bird price, a group ticket or free places. Cademy calls each choice a price offer. Add-ons are optional extras, such as a manual or lunch, bought with a place. Both are saved on the course or on one date, and customers choose them at checkout.
Price Offer: a place at a saved price, such as Standard Rate: £125.
Add-on: an extra, such as Printed Handbook: £12. It adds no place and needs a price offer for the same course in the same booking.
Custom Offer or Custom Item: made inside one Admin order only; see Price for One Order Only (Custom Offer).

Who Can Create Price Offers and on Which Plans
A System Admin or a Course Owner with access to the course can edit its prices in the Admin dashboard. Price offers and add-ons have no separate plan requirement. For paid offers, a System Admin sets up a payment method in Settings - Payments.
Course defaults are in Pricing & Delivery. On set dates and Blended courses, a date, block or bookable session can have its own prices. On-request courses use the Set pricing model for fixed offers. All amounts below are examples before tax, discounts or fees.
Create a Price Offer to Sell One Course at Different Prices
Create one price offer for each price customers can choose, for example one fee for each licence type a facilitator holds. With one offer and no add-ons, the course shows a single Price field.
Select Courses, open the course and select Edit Course.
Open Pricing & Delivery. For On-request, see fixed offers below.
If the offer list is not already shown, select Custom Offers & Add-ons.
Select Add Price, then Create an Offer. To edit an existing offer, select its card under Price Offers.
Enter its Name, Description and Price. For sale times or group places, open More Options.
Select Create Price or Update Price, then the course editor’s Save. The inner button alone does not save the course.
Wait for Course saved, then reopen Pricing & Delivery to check it.
Charge Different Fees by Facilitator Licence Type on One Course
Create one offer for each licence type and name it after the licence, for example Level 1 Licence Holder and Level 2 Licence Holder, each with its own price. Use the description to say who should choose it. Customers pick the offer that matches their licence; Cademy does not check which licence they hold.
At checkout, customers choose a quantity of each offer and can mix offers in one booking. To show options without amounts, see Hide Prices From Customers on Courses and Checkout.
Can I Stop the First Price Option Being Selected by Default?
No. Checkout opens with one place of the first price offer in your list that is on sale already selected. Customers can change the quantities. There is no setting to start with nothing selected. To choose which option comes first, move it to the top of the Price Offers list (see Edit, Reorder or Remove a Saved Price Offer).
Standard and Reduced Prices on the Same Course
Create Standard Rate at £125 and Reduced Rate at £95, each for one place. One of each costs £220 and gives two places.
An offer name does not check who qualifies or limit how many people buy it. Explain any rule in the description and check eligibility yourself.
Can Different Ticket Types on One Date Each Have a Limit per Ticket?
No. All offers on a date share its places (Max Spaces). You cannot limit how many places sell at one offer, such as the first 100 at a cheaper price. A sale window limits when an offer sells, not how many. To change a date’s places, see Set Places and Prices for All Dates or Just One Date.
Free or Complimentary Places (Zero-Price Offer)
Create an offer such as Complimentary Place with 0 in Price, then save the offer and the course. It still gives a place and can show as Free on the course page. Paid add-ons or other offers in the same order are still charged.
On an On-request course, the Free pricing model is different from a zero-priced offer under Set pricing.
More Options on a Price Offer: Sale Times and Package Places
In an offer’s window, More Options holds Available from (optional), Available until (optional) and Spaces to block. Add-ons do not have them. The next two sections explain them.
Set an Early Bird Price and What Customers Pay After It Ends
Open the offer on the course or date and select More Options.
Set Available from (optional) and Available until (optional). Leave one empty for no limit. The picker uses your browser’s time zone, which can differ from the date’s time zone.
Select Create Price or Update Price, then Save, and reopen the offer to check both times.
For example, set Early Booking Rate at £100 to end on your chosen date and keep Standard Rate at £125. Until then both can be bought; after it, customers pay the Standard Rate. To stop the Standard Rate being bought until the early bird ends, give it a start time. Until then it still shows at checkout, with Sales start on, and cannot be added. Outside its window, an offer shows with Sales start on or Sales ended on.
Increase Ticket Prices Gradually Over Time
Create one offer for each stage, each with its own sale window: for example Early Booking Rate £100 until 1 March, Standard Rate £125 from 1 March until 1 May, and Late Booking Rate £150 from 1 May. Start each window when the last one ends. Every stage shows at checkout; later stages show Sales start on until their window opens. Windows use fixed dates, not a number of days before each course date, so set them on each date’s own offers if dates need different cut-offs.
Sell a Group Ticket for Two or More People (Couple, Family or Group)
On a scheduled course, Spaces to block is how many places one unit of the offer reserves. It starts at 1.
Open the offer and select More Options.
Enter the number of places in Spaces to block, for example 2 for a couple or two-for-one ticket.
Enter the price for the whole package, for example Two-Person Booking at £200. Save the offer and the course.
One Two-Person Booking gives 2 places for £200; quantity 2 gives 4 places for £400.
A family or group offer works the same way: a six-person offer needs six free places. It does not make the date private; for that, see Offer a Private Course Date for One Group or Company. For money off when someone books several places, use a Checkout Spaces condition in Create a Discount or Promo Code.
Add Lunch, Manuals or Equipment as Optional Extras at Checkout (Add-Ons)
An add-on is an extra bought with a place, such as a Printed First Aid Handbook at £12. Customers cannot buy an add-on on its own.
In Edit Course > Pricing & Delivery, select Custom Offers & Add-ons if needed.
Select Add Price, then Create an Add-on. Enter its Name, Description and Price.
Select Create Price, then the course’s Save. It appears under Add-ons.
One Standard Rate place plus one handbook costs £137 and gives one place. Add-ons are always optional, with their own quantity; you cannot make one compulsory. An add-on does not deliver a file or unlock lessons. For a charge without a course, such as room hire, see Charges Without a Course (Custom Item).
Different Prices for One Date, Block or Session
On an On set dates or Blended course, a date or block can have its own offers and add-ons. Changing the course default does not replace a date’s own prices. A session has its own prices when it is individually bookable.
Set Prices When You Add New Dates
In Edit Course > Dates, select Add dates, choose the days, then Change Default Settings, Spaces, Location or Price (on a small screen, Change Defaults). Set the offers and add-ons, then Save Dates. This window opens with Visibility set to Public, but saved dates keep their existing visibility unless you change that setting. See Add or Change Course Dates and Multi-Session Blocks.
Change the Prices of a Saved Date, Block or Session
On the course dashboard, select View All Dates if needed and find the date or block.
Open its three-dot Date actions menu and select Edit. For a session in a block, select Expand sessions first.
In Pricing, edit or add offers and add-ons. Select Create Price or Update Price, then the date’s Save.
A date can use a different currency from the course; see Choose the Currency for Your Course Prices. An empty date add-on list can fall back to the course’s add-ons. Changes do not edit orders already placed.
Price Offers on an On-Demand (Self-Paced) Course
An On-demand online course uses the course’s offers, with no date. Create them in Edit Course > Pricing & Delivery as above, for example Online Course Fee at £45.
Keep Spaces to block at 1; customers choose a quantity for more learners. A Basic or Premium offer does not unlock different lessons or certificates. See Create a Self-Paced Online Course (On-Demand).
Fixed Price Offers on an On-Request Course
An On-request course has four pricing models under How do you price this?: Free, Price on enquiry, Show the customer a price range and Set pricing. Fixed offers and add-ons belong to Set pricing. Changing models can reset the offer lists, so do not switch just to look. Create offers as above, then save the course. The Booking Flow settings decide whether customers book straight away or send a request.
Fixed-Price Group Request for You to Review
Under Set pricing, create 6-Person Group Booking at £480 with Spaces to block set to 6.
In Booking Flow, under Allow Bookings, choose On Any Date. Save the course.
One unit requests six places at £480. Review it in Accept or Decline a Booking Request or Application. Submitting it does not reserve a date or confirm the booking; accepting it creates the order.
Fixed Per-Person Prices With Instant Calendar Booking
Under Set pricing, create Per-Person Rate at £80 with Spaces to block at 1.
In Booking Flow, under Allow Bookings, choose Based On My Calendar Availability and set up the calendar as in Create an On-request Course for One-to-One or Private Sessions.
For a duration of one day or less, a customer who picks a free slot books straight away: quantity 6 costs £480. A longer duration or no slot sends a request instead.
Use one-place offers for instant calendar booking. A multi-place offer can show a package amount but charge an instant booking per place. Check the final amount and contact Cademy Support if it differs.
For other booking routes, see Choose Instant Booking, Approval or Applications.
Price for One Order Only (Custom Offer)
To give one customer an agreed price that other customers cannot choose, a System Admin adds a Custom Offer or Custom Add-on inside that customer’s Admin order. For an existing order, see the custom offer section of Change an Existing Order. For a new order, see the courses and places section of Create an Order to Book a Customer Onto a Course.
Charges Without a Course (Custom Item)
For a charge on an Admin order without a course or date, such as room hire, catering or an administration fee, use a Custom Item. See the charges without a course section of Create an Order to Book a Customer Onto a Course.
Check Which Price Offer a Customer Booked
As a System Admin, open Orders and select the order.
In Details, find the course or date. Its participant rows and add-ons show under Item and Amount. Add-ons have an Add-on label.
Check the total and invoices separately: an amount on a participant can be a share of the order, not the offer price.
The example below uses Edit Order to show the offer name, unit price and quantity next to its add-on. If you only want to look, select Done Editing without changing anything.
A multi-place offer can show several participant or unnamed-space rows. Older or single-offer orders may not show the offer name. A booker can move a person to a place under another option already bought; this does not charge a difference. See Manage the People on a Course You Booked. To print a register with each person’s option, see the class list section of Find Who Is Booked on a Course (Registrations).
Edit, Reorder or Remove a Saved Price Offer
Edit: select the offer card, change it, then select Update Price and Save.
Reorder: drag the Drag to reorder handle. The top offer on sale is selected first at checkout.
Remove: select the card’s Remove button (X), then Save.
Removing the last price offer does not stop sales. The editor replaces it with a free General Admission offer. To stop one offer selling, use its sale window.
Removing a course add-on does not remove a copy saved on a date. For an order already placed, use Change an Existing Order for a saved purchase.
What Price Offers Cannot Do
A price offer cannot:
Check who qualifies for a reduced price.
Set a maximum or minimum quantity, or keep places for one offer.
Lower the unit price when more are bought; use discounts instead.
Unlock different lessons, certificates or confirmation emails.
Use its own tax or currency. Tax follows Set Up VAT for Course Sales.
Change orders already placed.
Deposits and instalments are payment options, not offers: see Take a Deposit and Collect the Balance Later and Offer Payment Plans (Monthly Instalments). For platform charges, see What Each Cademy Plan Includes and Costs.
Why a Price Offer Is Missing or Unexpected at Checkout
Missing at checkout: check it was saved on the course or date, not made inside an Admin order.
Course price changed but a date still has the old price: open that exact date, block or session and check its own offers. See Set Places and Prices for All Dates or Just One Date.
Offer shown but cannot be added: check its saved start and end times, time zone and required places. A two-place package needs two available places for quantity one.
Unexpected number of places: check both the quantity and, for scheduled offers, Spaces to block. An add-on does not give a place.
Change not saved: after Update Price, the course or date also needs Save.
Unexpected old add-on: check both the course and the date add-on lists.
If the date still cannot be booked, follow Why Can't Customers Book My Course or Date?.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is Custom Offers & Add-ons the same as Custom Offer or Add-On inside an order?
No. The course editor’s Custom Offers & Add-ons button builds reusable prices and extras that customers choose at checkout. The order’s Custom Offer or Add-On… option makes a price or extra for that one order only.
Does an On-request offer always create a request?
No. Free or Set pricing with calendar availability can book an available time immediately for a duration of one day or less. Other setups use a request. The Booking Flow settings decide the route.
Why are there two participant rows for one offer?
On a scheduled course, one offer can include several places. The order shows those places as participant or unnamed-space rows.
