Using WordPress? The Standard Website Embed works with WordPress and remains a good free option. If you want separate course pages inside your WordPress theme, stronger course-level SEO, and course listings that are part of your WordPress page, compare it with Cademy for WordPress.
Before you start
You need access to edit your website and add custom embed code.
If this is your first time using Embeds, go to Apps, open Embeds, and click Install.
Create a Standard Website Embed
In your Cademy dashboard, go to Apps > Embeds.
Under What would you like to embed?, choose Multiple Courses or A Single Course.
Use Content, Layout, Collections Row, and Options to configure the embed. The sections shown depend on your choices.
Check the live preview on the right. Use Desktop and Mobile to preview different screen sizes.
Click Get Code.
In Add This Embed to Your Website, choose General, WordPress, Wix, or Squarespace under Your Platform.
Follow the Steps shown for your platform and copy the Embed Code, or the Embed Address for Wix.
Add the code under Helper Script - Once Per Site in the location shown. Add it only once on each website, even if the website has several Cademy embeds.
Important: Your embed settings are included in the generated Embed Code, or the Embed Address for Wix. If you later change Content, Layout, Collections Row, or anything under Options, click Get Code again and replace the existing code or address on every page where that embed is used. You do not need to replace Helper Script - Once Per Site.

Collections Row is available when All Published Courses is selected and the layout is not Calendar. Choose Auto, Grid, Carousel, or Hidden.
Options
Only show courses that have future dates scheduled - available for every layout except Calendar.
Open checkout when a customer clicks a date - available only with Dates List and Date Cards.
Changes here update the preview only. To update an embed already on your website, click Get Code and replace the existing Embed Code, or Embed Address for Wix, on every page where the embed is used.

CPD - available on Pro, Teams and Custom when CPD is enabled under Settings > CPD
All available options are selected by default and the button shows All Filters. Clear every checkbox to show No Filters and remove the complete search and filter bar. The CPD option is hidden when the account does not have access to CPD or CPD is turned off.
Changes here update the preview only. To update an embed already on your website, click Get Code and replace the existing Embed Code, or Embed Address for Wix, on every page where the embed is used.
Most filters stay hidden when no matching course information exists. The CPD filter can still appear for an eligible account when none of its published courses currently award CPD. If A Collection is selected under Content, Collection is not shown because the embed is already limited to that collection.
Visitors can open the CPD filter, select Awards CPD, optionally enter Minimum CPD points or Minimum CPD hours, then select Apply. Decimal minimum values such as 0.5 are supported. Applying the filter updates the page address, so the complete filtered address can be copied and shared.
For CPD setup, custom labels and troubleshooting, see Set Up and Award CPD Points and Hours.

CPD - available on Pro, Teams and Custom when CPD is enabled under Settings > CPD
Dates, Delivery & Location, Price, and Rating are selected by default and the button shows Default Details. Select every available option to show All Details, or clear every option to show No Details.
Changes here update the preview only. To update an embed already on your website, click Get Code and replace the existing Embed Code, or Embed Address for Wix, on every page where the embed is used.
CPD is off by default, so existing embeds do not change automatically. Select it to add a CPD badge to cards for courses that award points, hours or both. The badge uses the labels saved under Settings > CPD and appears on Grid, Rows, Dates List and Date Cards. Courses without CPD show no empty badge.
Details without data stay hidden automatically. If pricing or reviews are hidden in the course provider's account settings, Price or Rating is unavailable and shows Hidden by your account settings.
With Dates List and Date Cards, the large date area always remains. Dates controls only the smaller date and time detail. Rating is not shown on Rows or Dates List, even when it is selected.
Choosing No Details leaves the course image and course name. The large date area remains on dated layouts.
Configure A Single Course
Under Content, select the course you want to show. Under Layout, choose:
Date Rows
Date Cards
Dates Table
Dates Carousel
Date Ticket Cards
Full Course Page
Feature Card
Price Card
Date layouts are not shown for on-demand or on-request courses because those courses do not have scheduled dates.
Custom Booking Button labels
If a Pro, Teams or Custom course has a custom Booking Button label, the Full Course Page layout uses that wording for its main booking button. The compact Feature Card, multiple-course cards and the dated layouts keep their normal action wording.
For Cademy for WordPress, a separate course-detail page uses the custom Booking Button label, while WordPress course listings keep their normal wording. For setup instructions and every supported location, see Rename Course Buttons and Forum Names.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need to know how to code?
No. Cademy creates the code for you. Choose your website platform under Your Platform and follow the Steps shown.
Which platform should I choose?
Choose WordPress, Wix, or Squarespace if you use that platform. Choose General for other websites.
What is Helper Script - Once Per Site?
It is a small extra piece of code that makes embeds resize automatically and keeps checkout working. Add it in the location shown under Steps. Add it only once on each website.
Can I add more than one embed to my website?
Yes. You can add as many embeds as you need. Helper Script - Once Per Site still only needs to be added once.
Why can I not see Collections Row or one of the Options?
Collections Row is shown only for All Published Courses and is hidden for Calendar. Options is hidden for Calendar. Open checkout when a customer clicks a date is shown only for Dates List and Date Cards.
Will customers leave my website to complete checkout?
Normally, no. Cademy checkout opens as part of the Standard Website Embed on your website. Make sure Helper Script - Once Per Site has been added so checkout works correctly.
Do External Bookings work in a Standard Website Embed?
Yes. When a course uses External Bookings, supported booking actions open the configured external website in a new tab. Contact Us and Cademy waitlists continue to open in Cademy. See Send Course Bookings to an External Website.
Will course changes appear automatically?
Changes to course information in Cademy appear automatically. Changes to the embed setup do not. This includes Content, Layout, Collections Row, Options, Search & Filters, and Card Details.
How do I update an embed after changing its settings?
Return to Apps > Embeds, make the change, click Get Code, and replace the existing Embed Code, or Embed Address for Wix, on every page where that embed is used. You must do this after enabling or disabling any option, filter, or card detail. You do not need to replace Helper Script - Once Per Site.
Is the Standard Website Embed free?
Yes. It is free to use.
Where do I choose which filters and card details appear?
Go to Apps > Embeds, choose Multiple Courses, select any layout except Calendar, and open Options. Use Search & Filters and Card Details.
Can I remove the complete search and filter bar?
Yes. Open Search & Filters and clear every checkbox. The button shows No Filters, and visitors see only the course listing.
Why is a selected filter or card detail not visible?
Most filters and card details appear only when matching course information is available. The CPD filter is an exception and can appear even when no published course currently awards CPD. Price and Rating also remain hidden when pricing or reviews are hidden in the course provider's account settings.
Why is Collection missing from Search & Filters?
Collection is not shown when A Collection is selected under Content. The embed is already limited to that collection.
Why is Rating not appearing on Rows or Dates List?
Rating is not shown on Rows or Dates List, even when it is selected under Card Details.
What happens when I choose No Details?
The card keeps the course image and course name. On Dates List and Date Cards, the large date area also remains.
How do I show CPD on course cards?
Go to Apps > Embeds, choose Multiple Courses, select any layout except Calendar, open Options > Card Details, and select CPD. This option requires Pro, Teams or Custom and CPD must be enabled under Settings > CPD.
How do visitors filter courses that award CPD?
They can open the CPD filter, select Awards CPD, optionally enter minimum points or hours, then select Apply. The updated page address can be copied to share the same filtered course list.
