This guide is for course providers choosing how to price a course, what customers can select, and when to make a price just for one order. It covers reusable price offers, optional add-ons and the Custom Offer you create inside an Admin order.
Start with the difference below. The course editor’s Custom Offers & Add-ons button and an order’s Custom Offer or Add-On… option have different purposes.
The table compares saved course options with items you make for one Admin order. On its own means no other purchased item is required; the course, contact and other booking requirements still apply. The access requirements and detailed steps follow below.
Option | What does it do? | Can it be bought on its own? | Can the customer choose it at checkout? | Where you create it |
Price Offer | Provides course places at a saved price, such as Standard Rate: £125. A scheduled offer can cover one or more places. | Yes. No add-on is required. | Yes, when available for the course/date. | Course/date pricing: Add Price > Create an Offer. Create a reusable price offer. |
Add-on | Adds an optional extra, such as Printed First Aid Handbook: £12. It adds no course places. | No. Requires a selected Price Offer or Custom Offer for the same course booking. | Yes, alongside at least one selected Price Offer for that course. | Course/date pricing: Add Price > Create an Add-on. Create an optional add-on. |
Custom Offer | Provides course places at a name and price you enter for one Admin order, such as Agreed Course Fee: £110. Each unit provides one place. | Yes. No saved Price Offer or add-on is required. | No. You add it to their order in Admin. It is not saved to the course’s public offers. | Inside an Admin order’s course group: Add Line Item > Custom Offer or Add-On… > Offer (counts towards spaces). Create an order-only offer. |
Custom Add-on | Adds an extra with a name and price you enter for one Admin order, such as Printed Practice Workbook: £15. It adds no course places. | No. Requires a selected Price Offer or Custom Offer for the same course booking. | No. You add it to their order in Admin. It is not saved to the course’s public add-ons. | Inside an Admin order’s course group: Add Line Item > Custom Offer or Add-On… > Add-on (no space impact). Create an order-only add-on. |
Custom Item | Adds a separate charge without a course/date, such as Full-Day Training Room Hire: £300. It appears under Other Items and adds no course places. | Yes. An order can contain only Custom Items or also include course bookings. | No. You add it to their order in Admin. | Orders > New Order > Add Custom Item. Add charges without a course. |
For course defaults, open Edit Course > Pricing & Delivery, then Custom Offers & Add-ons if the list is closed. If the course offer list is already open, go straight to Add Price. For one simple course price, use the Price field. Saved offers and add-ons can also be set for individual dates, blocks and sessions. For Custom Offers and Custom Add-ons, start at Orders > New Order and select the contact and course/date before using its course group. The table describes creating a new order; permitted edits to an existing order use Edit Order.
For on-demand courses, offers provide learner access rather than attendance at a scheduled event. For on-request courses, selecting an offer can submit requested places for your review rather than confirm a booking. Check the on-demand or on-request setup before using the scheduled examples.
Choosing an option is different from paying for it. Customers cannot select order-only items at course checkout, but they can pay an Admin-created order containing them through a payment request. “Custom Add-on” in this guide means the order-only extra created by choosing Add-on (no space impact).
If everyone should be able to choose your price, create a price offer on the course or date. If it is a price agreed for one order, create a Custom Offer inside that order. If it is a charge without a course, use a Custom Item.
An offer’s name and description explain it. They do not enforce eligibility for a reduced price, create different course content or arrange delivery of an extra. The limits section explains these boundaries.
In this guide
Before you start
To edit course prices, you need to be a System Admin or a Course Owner with access to that course. Start in the Admin dashboard. Creating or editing an order through Orders requires System Admin access.
Have the course, intended date or block, price, currency and number of places ready. For paid offers or add-ons, configure an appropriate payment method. If a payment-method warning appears, a System Admin can follow Settings - Payments; a Course Owner without that access needs their System Admin’s help. Saving a price does not collect payment.
Course setup | Where the price belongs |
On set dates or Blended course | Course defaults are in Pricing & Delivery. A saved date, block or individually bookable session can use its own prices. |
On-demand online course | Use the course’s Pricing & Delivery; there is no scheduled date to choose. Read the on-demand conditions below before using group-package settings. |
On-request | Fixed offers belong to the Set pricing model. Free, Price on enquiry and Show the customer a price range are different pricing models. |
All amounts in the examples below are fictional prices before any applicable tax, discount or fee. They are setup examples, not payments made to Cademy.
Create or edit a reusable price offer
Use this route for a price customers should be able to choose when booking. A course with one offer and no add-ons can show a single Price field. Enter and save that price if one simple offer is all you need. Open the expanded offer controls to name offers or create several choices.
Select Courses, open the course and select Edit Course.
Open Pricing & Delivery. For an On-request course, check the fixed-offer setup below before changing its pricing model.
If the offer list is not already shown, select Custom Offers & Add-ons.
Select Add Price, then Create an Offer. To edit an existing offer, select its card under Price Offers.
Enter its Name, a clear Description and its Price in the currency shown. For a scheduled multi-place package, the price covers one selected package, not each person.
For a sale window or a scheduled package’s places, open More Options. Check the relevant sections below before changing these values.
Select Create Price for a new offer or Update Price for an existing one. Then select the course editor’s outer Save. The inner button alone does not save the course.
Wait for Course saved. Reopen Pricing & Delivery and check the saved name, description, price and optional settings. For a scheduled course, also check the exact date customers will book.
At checkout, customers choose quantities from the available offers’ names, descriptions and prices. If your account is configured to hide pricing, the price amounts are hidden on your provider checkout; the named options remain. They can select more than one offer in the same booking. Changing one offer does not automatically change another.
Standard and reduced prices
Use separate price offers when customers should choose between prices for the same course. For example, create Standard Rate at £125 and Reduced Rate at £95, each covering one place. Save both offers and the course using the steps above.
One Standard Rate offer plus one Reduced Rate offer costs £220 before adjustments and gives two places. For a scheduled date, those places use the same date capacity. The offer names do not create separate pools of seats.
Reduced Rate is only a name for this £95 price. It does not apply a discount automatically or decide who qualifies. If you restrict the price to certain people, explain the rule in the description and check eligibility yourself. Naming an offer “maximum two” does not impose a purchase limit.
Free and complimentary offers
Create an offer such as Complimentary Place and enter 0 in Price. Select Create Price or Update Price, then the course’s Save. Reopen the offer to check the saved zero price.
A free offer still provides its course place or enrolment. A zero-priced course option can be shown as Free on the course page and as a numeric zero at checkout. A free offer does not make paid add-ons or other paid offers free.
For an On-request course, selecting the separate Free pricing model is different from adding one zero-priced option under Set pricing. Do not change pricing models simply to inspect existing offers.
More Options: sale times and package places
Open the intended offer and select More Options at the bottom of its window. It contains Available from (optional), Available until (optional) and Spaces to block. These advanced settings are for price offers, not add-ons.
The sale-window section explains dates and times. The package section explains scheduled places. If you only inspect an offer, select Cancel to leave without updating it.
Early Booking Rate offers and sale windows
A sale window controls when a particular offer can be bought. It does not publish the course, hide a date or limit that offer to a particular number of bookings.
Open the offer in the intended course or date’s pricing and select More Options.
Check your browser’s local time zone. The offer picker uses that zone, which can differ from the course date’s scheduled time zone.
Set Available from (optional) if sales must start at a particular date and time. Leave it empty for no start restriction.
Set Available until (optional) if sales must end at a particular date and time. Leave it empty for no end restriction. Check the times as well as the dates.
Select Create Price or Update Price, then the surrounding course or date’s final Save. Reopen the same offer to confirm both boundaries.
For example, set an Early Booking Rate price of £100 to end at your chosen time and keep Standard Rate at £125 available. Before that end time, both offers can be bought. After it, customers can buy Standard Rate but cannot increase the Early Booking Rate quantity. If Standard Rate should start later, set its own start time separately.
Outside its window, an offer can remain visible at checkout with Sales start on or Sales ended on. Its presence on the page is not proof that it can be bought. Remaining places, date visibility and other booking conditions still apply.
Couple, family and group packages
For a scheduled course, Spaces to block is the number of attendee places reserved by one selected offer. It defaults to one. “Block” here means reserve places; it does not mean a block of course sessions.
Open the intended course/date offer and select More Options.
Enter the package’s number of places in Spaces to block. For a Two-Person Booking, couple or two-for-one offer, enter 2.
Set a clear Name and Description, then enter the price for the whole package. In this example, Two-Person Booking costs £200.
Select Create Price or Update Price, then the surrounding course/date’s Save. Reopen it to check the saved price and places.
Customer selection | Price before adjustments | Scheduled places |
Two-Person Booking, quantity 1 | £200 | 2 |
Two-Person Booking, quantity 2 | £400 | 4 |
Standard Rate £125, quantity 2 | £250 | 2 |
For a family or whole-group offer, use the number of people covered and the package’s total price. At checkout, an offer covering six people needs six available places for quantity one. It does not grant exclusive use of the date or remove the other offers. When you create an Admin order, a capacity warning does not prevent creation; check the counts and the order-creation guide before accepting extra places.
To sell a private date, follow Offer Private Course Dates. To change the date’s total capacity, use Add and Edit Course Dates and Blocks. On-demand enrolments have different quantity handling; do not use this scheduled package example for an on-demand course.
Optional add-ons: manuals, equipment and lunch
Use an add-on when the customer should be able to buy an extra with the course, without adding an attendee. For example, a Printed First Aid Handbook at £12 is an add-on. At checkout, an add-on requires at least one selected price offer for the same course. When creating an Admin order, a price offer or Custom Offer must provide that course’s places. An additional person needs an offer giving that person’s place.
Open Courses, select the course, then Edit Course > Pricing & Delivery. If needed, select Custom Offers & Add-ons.
Select Add Price, then Create an Add-on. For On-request, use the Set pricing model described below.
Enter its Name, Description and Price in the currency shown. Explain what the extra includes and how you will provide it.
Select Create Price, then the course’s outer Save. Reopen pricing and check the item under Add-ons. To edit it, select its card, then Update Price and save the course.
One Standard Rate place at £125 plus one Printed First Aid Handbook at £12 costs £137 before adjustments and gives one attendee place. Selecting two handbooks gives two handbooks; it does not add a participant.
Add-ons are optional and have their own quantity. They do not have the offer’s sale-window or Spaces to block controls. Writing delivery instructions in their description does not automatically deliver a file, send a separate email or unlock lessons.
You can also make an add-on only for one Admin order using the order-only procedure. That does not publish it at checkout. A charge without a course uses Custom Item instead.
Different offers for dates, blocks and sessions
For an On set dates or Blended course, a date or block can have its own saved offers and add-ons. Check the exact date the customer selects: changing the course default does not replace a date’s own prices.
A block is several sessions sold together. Use the block’s settings for a whole-block booking. Use a session’s settings when that session is individually bookable.
When you add new dates
Open Edit Course > Dates, select Add dates and choose the days. Select Change Default Settings, Spaces, Location or Price (on a small screen, Change Defaults). Check the delivery method, location or joining link, Max Spaces, price offers and add-ons for the dates you are adding. Select Save Date or Save Dates.
That window is for new dates. It starts with Visibility set to Public; do not use it to inspect or change a saved private date. The detailed date creation procedure is in Add and Edit Course Dates and Blocks.
Change a saved date, block or session
Open the course dashboard. Select View All Dates if needed and find the intended date or block.
Open its three-dot Date actions menu and select Edit. For a session inside a block, first select Expand sessions, then edit that session. Its pricing is available when it is individually bookable.
In Pricing, open an offer card or add a price using the same offer/add-on controls. Check that you are editing the date, block or session you intended.
Select the offer’s Create Price or Update Price, then the date editor’s final Save. Reopen the same date and check its saved choices.
For one saved single date, the pencil on its row in Edit Course > Dates is another route. Do not use a block’s pencil or the button labelled Edit 1 date after ticking rows to inspect a saved date: these open the shared window that starts with Visibility set to Public.
Choosing another date currency also saves copies of the offers/add-ons it is using. Returning to course currency keeps those saved lists. All offers/add-ons on that date share its currency. Changing currency keeps the existing numbers rather than converting them: 125 in GBP becomes 125 in EUR unless you edit the price. See Set Course Prices and Places: Defaults and Date Overrides and Choose Currencies for Courses, Memberships and Gift Cards.
An empty date add-on list can fall back to the course’s add-ons. Do not rely on removing every date add-on to guarantee that checkout has none. Changing any course/date setting does not edit orders customers have already placed. On-request dates use their request workflow; they do not have this same scheduled-date Pricing section.
Offers on an on-demand course
An On-demand online course uses its course offers without a scheduled date. The example uses Online Course Fee at £45 for one learner place. Open Edit Course > Pricing & Delivery, select Custom Offers & Add-ons if needed, then create a named offer with its price. Save the offer and the course as described above. Sale windows and optional add-ons still have their separate purposes.
For on-demand offers, keep Spaces to block at 1 and select the quantity for the number of learner places you need. Quantity 2 then buys two places. The scheduled-date group-package example is not a reliable way to promise several on-demand learner places from one selected offer. Check the saved order and its learner places.
Different offer names do not give different lesson access. A Basic or Premium name alone does not unlock a different selection of lessons, issue a different certificate or send an offer-specific confirmation email. For content and access setup, see Create and Set Up an On-Demand Course.
Fixed offers on an on-request course
An On-request course has four pricing models: Free, Price on enquiry, Show the customer a price range and Set pricing. Named fixed offers and add-ons belong to Set pricing. A price range or enquiry is not a list of fixed checkout offers.
Open the course’s Edit Course > Pricing & Delivery.
In Pricing, check How do you price this?. Choose Set pricing when you intend to configure fixed offers. Changing models can reset the offer/add-on lists; do not switch models to inspect them.
Open Custom Offers & Add-ons if needed. Use Add Price > Create an Offer, enter its name and price, then select Create Price. Add any optional extras separately as add-ons.
Select the course’s Save. Reopen Pricing & Delivery to check the saved pricing model, offers and add-ons.
The pricing model does not decide the whole booking journey. The course’s Booking Flow settings also matter. The examples below use two different course-wide setups; changing the date-request mode changes the route for the whole course, not just one offer.
A fixed-price group request for you to review
Under Set pricing, create 6-Person Group Booking at £480. In the offer’s More Options, set Spaces to block to 6. Save the offer.
In Pricing & Delivery, find the Booking Flow section. Under Allow Bookings, choose On Any Date for date requests. Save the course and reopen these settings to check them.
Check the customer selection for the intended duration and delivery. One unit of this offer requests six places at an initial £480 price before extras and adjustments. Two units request twelve places at an initial £960 price. The configured six places apply to each unit; entering fewer participant names does not reduce that number. The offer name does not impose a maximum purchase quantity.
Handle the submitted request through Handle Course Requests and Applications. Confirm the agreed dates, places and final price before accepting, then check the resulting order.
Submitting this request creates a request for review. It does not reserve a date, create a paid order or confirm the booking. You can agree changes before accepting. Acceptance creates the order; payment and email delivery must be checked separately.
Fixed per-person prices with instant calendar booking
Under Set pricing, create Per-Person Rate at £80, with Spaces to block kept at 1. Save the offer.
In Pricing & Delivery, find the Booking Flow section. Under Allow Bookings, choose Based On My Calendar Availability. Configure the calendar and working hours described in Create and Set Up an On-request Course, then save the course.
Check a customer selection for a duration of one day or less with an available time slot. Quantity 6 of this one-place offer covers six places and costs £480 before extras and adjustments. Choosing an available slot can lead straight to booking rather than your request review.
Check the final checkout total before payment. If the customer skips available dates or chooses a longer duration, they submit a request instead.
Use one-place offers for this instant-booking setup. A multi-place on-request offer can show an initial package amount but calculate the instant order using a price per place. Do not promise the request-only £480 group example as an instant package price. Check the final amount; contact Cademy Support if it differs from the intended price.
The Free pricing model can also book an available calendar time immediately under the same duration conditions. Calendar mode alone does not guarantee an available slot. For duration, delivery, availability and other booking routes, use Create and Set Up an On-request Course and Choose How Customers Book or Apply.
Custom Offers made for one Admin order
Use an order-only Custom Offer for an agreed course price that is not a public offer, such as Agreed Course Fee at £110 for one customer. It belongs to the course group on that order. It is not added to the course’s offer list and other customers cannot select it at checkout.
As a System Admin, open Orders. Start New Order and select the contact and course/date, or open the intended existing order and select Edit Order.
Inside that course group, select Add Line Item, then Custom Offer or Add-On…. Do not select the separate Add Custom Item below the groups.
Enter Item Name, Unit Price and Quantity. Add a description if needed. Under Item Type, choose Offer (counts towards spaces) for course places or Add-on (no space impact) for an extra.
Select Add Item and check the row in the intended course group. This adds another row; it does not replace Standard Rate or another existing offer. If the agreed price replaces that offer, remove the unwanted row and check the places and total. A Custom Offer made in this form gives one participant space per unit; the form has no multi-place Spaces to block setting.
For a new order, complete its billing/payment choices. For an ordinary unpaid order with a positive total, turn on Send payment request if you want the invoice/payment request sent: the final button reads Create Order & Send Invoice. With Send payment request off it reads Create Order. The already-paid and zero-total choices use Create Paid Order and Create Free Order. Check the button before continuing and use the linked creation guide for payment-plan buttons. For an existing order, select the group’s Review Changes…, check its invoice consequences and confirm the intended result. Adding the row alone does not save an existing order.
Check the saved order’s Details, places and Invoices & Payments. An agreed price is not evidence that the customer has paid it.
For example, Agreed Course Fee £110 with quantity 1 gives one course place and costs £110 before adjustments. Adding an order-only Printed Practice Workbook add-on at £15 brings the total to £125, still with one place.
The order’s state and invoices determine which edits are permitted and which invoice, credit or refund choices are offered. Follow Create an Order and Request Payment for new-order billing/payment, or Change an Existing Order for saved-order restrictions and financial review. To make the same price available publicly, create it separately as a reusable price offer.
Custom Items are separate charges without a course
A Custom Item is different from an order-only Custom Offer. Use it for a charge without a course/date, such as Full-Day Training Room Hire at £300 or Lunch per Person at £6.50. Quantity 20 of Lunch per Person costs £130; together these Custom Items total £430 before adjustments. In an Admin order, select Add Custom Item; the charge appears under Other Items, outside the course groups.
Custom Items do not create registrations, reserve places or grant course access. Customers cannot add them at course checkout, and discounts do not apply to them. An order can contain only Custom Items, only courses, or both.
These names describe the charges. They do not reserve a room or order catering. You arrange the room hire and lunch separately. For the full quantity, tax, currency, invoice and payment instructions, see Add charges without a course.
Check the customer selection and saved purchase
After saving, check the exact course and intended date’s available offers. The checkout selection should match that date’s saved prices, including offer names, descriptions and extras. An Admin-only Custom Offer should be checked on its saved order, not looked for in checkout.
To inspect a placed order as a System Admin, open Orders and select the order.
Expand Details if needed and find the course/date. Check its participant or unnamed-space rows and its add-ons under Item and Amount. Add-ons have an Add-on label and show quantity when more than one was selected.
Check the order total and its invoices separately. An amount against a participant can be an allocated share of the order, not the offer’s original unit price or proof of settled payment.
The example below uses Edit Order to show the stored offer name, unit price and quantity alongside its add-on. If you open this view only to inspect, leave the rows unchanged and select Done Editing; do not use Review Changes… to confirm an unintended edit.
A multi-place offer can produce several participant or unnamed-space rows. Offer names are not displayed in every older or single-offer order; a missing name is not proof that no offer was purchased.
Where participant changes are available, the booker assigns people to places under options already purchased. Switching a person’s option uses an available place under another purchased option; it does not buy a new option, charge a price difference or change the saved prices. See Manage Participants and View Their Course Progress and Certificates. For the provider’s printed option names, see Print a class list or register.
Edit, reorder or remove a saved offer
Open the intended course or date’s pricing. Select the offer card to change its name, description, price or advanced settings. Select Update Price, then the surrounding editor’s Save, and reopen it to check the result. Editing these settings does not change an already placed order.
To reorder offers or add-ons, drag the handle labelled Drag to reorder on the intended card. Offers and add-ons have separate lists.
To remove a card, select its Remove button, shown as an X. Check which list and item you are changing before selecting it.
Check the remaining prices, then select the surrounding course/date editor’s Save. Reopen the same pricing list.
Removing the last price offer does not stop sales. The editor replaces it with a free General Admission offer and returns to the simple Price field. Check the resulting price before saving. To stop a particular offer being bought, use its sale window; to stop bookings for the course/date, use the relevant booking or publication settings instead.
Removing a course’s add-on does not remove a copy saved on a date. Changing future offers or extras does not cancel existing orders. Use Change an Existing Order for a saved purchase and course defaults and date overrides for the list being used.
Limits: what an offer does not configure
Requested setup | What to expect |
Eligibility for a reduced price | An offer name/description does not verify eligibility. Check eligibility separately. |
Only the first 100 bookings at an Early Booking Rate price | A sale window limits time, not the total number sold against one offer. There is no per-offer stock allocation in these controls. |
End an offer a set number of days before each course date | Offer sale windows use fixed dates and times, not a relative number of days. Set the intended boundaries on each relevant date’s offer when they need to differ. |
Maximum two tickets per booking, or a minimum quantity | These are not offer settings. Text in the description does not enforce them. |
Mandatory lunch/manual add-on | The add-on chooser is optional; naming an extra “required” does not force its selection. |
Buy three and automatically receive a cheaper unit price | Separate named prices and a scheduled multi-place package are supported. These controls do not create automatic quantity-based unit-price tiers. Separate discount rules are configured in Discounts; they are not fields on the offer. |
Basic/Premium offers unlock different lessons or certificates | An offer is a pricing/place choice. Its name does not set separate course content or certificate rules. |
A different confirmation email per offer | Course confirmation settings apply at course level; a price offer does not have its own confirmation template. |
Different VAT rates or currencies for each offer on one date | The date’s offers/add-ons share its currency. Tax uses the applicable course/order settings, not an offer-specific tax-profile selector. |
Different location or online link for each price offer | Offer descriptions do not create separate joining details. Set delivery on the relevant course/date. |
Private or exclusive date from a whole-group offer | A package reserves its configured places; it does not make the date private or prohibit other offers. |
On-request group package with instant calendar booking | Use one-place offers with quantity for instant booking. Multi-place on-request package amounts can differ between the initial selection and the final instant order. The group example above is scoped to requests for review. |
Scheduled multi-place package on an on-demand course | Keep Spaces to block at 1 and use quantity for learner places. Do not promise several on-demand learner places from one package unit. |
Publish a one-order Custom Offer at checkout | Create a reusable course/date price offer separately. Saving an order-only offer does not publish it. |
Sell a standalone item at course checkout | An add-on is selected with a course offer. Custom Items are provider-added order charges. |
Changing the course price updates every date and old order | Dates with saved prices retain those prices; already placed orders retain their purchased prices. |
Discounts also have their own automatic rules, including a Checkout Spaces condition. These apply a discount; they are not an offer-specific unit-price tier. For taxes and money off, follow Set Up VAT for Course Sales and Create and Apply Discounts. Deposits and instalments are order payment arrangements, not offer types: see Offer and Manage Deposits and Offer and Manage Monthly Instalments. For platform charges, see Understand Cademy Plans, Limits and Fees.
Troubleshoot a missing or unexpected offer
Missing at checkout: check whether it was saved to the course/date or made only inside an Admin order. An order-only Custom Offer does not become a checkout option.
Course price changed but a date still has the old price: open that exact date/block/session and check its own offers. See course defaults and date overrides.
Offer shown but cannot be added: check its saved start/end times, time zone and required places. A two-place package needs two available places for quantity one.
Unexpected number of places: check both the quantity and, for scheduled offers, Spaces to block. An add-on does not give a place, and on-demand quantities have different handling.
Inner Create Price/Update Price clicked but change missing: check the surrounding course/date was also saved. Reopen it before retrying an uncertain save.
Unexpected old add-on: check both course and date add-on lists. An empty date list can fall back to the course list.
If the date cannot be booked after these checks, follow Fix a Course Date That Cannot Be Booked. If you need help with a specific price, give Cademy Support the course link, intended date/block, offer name and the saved setting that differs. For an order, include its reference and the difference. Keep personal and payment information out of public screenshots.
Frequently asked questions
Is Custom Offers & Add-ons the same as Custom Offer or Add-On inside an order?
No. The course editor builds reusable prices/extras. The order option makes a course-linked offer or extra only for that order.
Can a customer select a Custom Offer at checkout?
No. A Custom Offer created inside an Admin order is not a course checkout choice. To give customers a selectable price, save a reusable Price Offer on the course/date. They can select it when available.
Can I give one customer a different price?
Yes. A System Admin can create an order-only Custom Offer for that course. It does not change the public price or other orders.
Do I need a particular plan to create named offers and add-ons?
The offer and add-on controls have no separate plan requirement. Course publishing limits and payment features still follow your account’s plan and settings.
Why are my checkout choices visible without prices?
If your account is configured to hide pricing, provider checkout hides the amounts. This does not turn an order-only Custom Offer into a public checkout option.
Can customers choose Standard Rate and Reduced Rate in one booking?
Yes. Each selection has its own quantity and price. The labels do not check eligibility.
Does the offer price cover one person or the whole package?
For a scheduled package it covers one selected offer, including its configured Spaces to block. A £200 Two-Person Booking offer costs £200 for two places; quantity 2 costs £400 for four places before adjustments.
Is a group package the same as a volume discount?
No. A package has a fixed price and places. These offer controls do not automatically lower the unit price when a customer increases an ordinary offer quantity. Separate discount rules have their own setup; see Create and Apply Discounts.
Can I sell the first 100 places cheaply?
You cannot set an automatic total allocation for one price offer in these controls. A sale window is a time limit, not a sold-quantity limit.
Can I make lunch or a manual compulsory?
No. Add-ons are optional selections; their names/descriptions do not enforce purchase.
Can an add-on give another person a place?
No. Use an offer that includes that person’s course place.
Can a customer buy just the add-on?
No. At checkout, an add-on needs at least one selected Price Offer for the same course. When creating an Admin order, a Price Offer or Custom Offer must provide that course’s places. For a charge without a course, use a Custom Item on an Admin order.
Does a free offer mean there is nothing to pay?
Only if the whole order has no charge after its other selections and adjustments. Paid add-ons or another paid offer can still make it payable.
Does Early Booking Rate disappear when its time ends?
Not necessarily. It can remain visible with Sales ended on while it is unavailable to buy.
Can an offer automatically end seven days before each course date?
No. Offer sale windows use fixed dates and times. Give the relevant date its own offer boundaries when different dates need different cutoffs.
Can I use offers for different lessons, certificates or confirmation emails?
An offer name does not configure different course content, certificate rules or an offer-specific confirmation template. Use the appropriate course settings; do not rely on an offer name.
Does a six-person package make the date private?
No. It reserves the configured places. Date visibility and other booking choices are separate settings.
Will a course-default price change replace a date’s own prices?
No. A date with its own saved offer list keeps it. Check the exact date customers book.
Will a price change update existing orders?
No. Existing orders retain their purchased prices. A permitted order edit uses the separate review and invoice process.
Can each offer on a date use a different currency?
No. The offers and add-ons on one date share that date’s currency.
Can I use the scheduled Two-Person Booking package on an on-demand course?
Keep Spaces to block at 1 for on-demand offers and use the selected quantity for the intended number of learner places. Do not use the scheduled package example to promise several online learner places from one selected offer.
Does an On-request offer always create a request?
No. Free or Set pricing with calendar availability can book an available time immediately for a duration of one day or less. Other configurations use a request. The booking settings determine the route.
Does submitting an on-request group offer reserve six places?
It records six requested places per selected unit in the request-only example; it does not reserve a date. Confirm the final places, dates and price when accepting the request and check the resulting order.
Can I use the £480 group offer for instant calendar checkout?
Use the £80 one-place offer with quantity 6 in the instant-booking example. A multi-place on-request offer can calculate its instant price per place rather than retain the initial package amount. Check the final total and contact Cademy Support if it differs from the intended amount.
Why are there two participant rows for one offer?
On a scheduled course, one offer can include several places. The order can show those places as participant or unnamed-space rows.
Can an organiser switch a person to a more expensive option and pay the difference?
Changing participant assignment uses places under options already bought. It does not buy an upgrade or charge a price difference; a financial change needs the provider’s order-editing process.
Can I remove every price offer to stop bookings?
No. Removing the last offer makes the editor create a free General Admission offer. Check the result before saving; use sale-window, booking or publication controls for the intended restriction.
Is an administration fee a Custom Offer?
A Booking Administration Fee without a course is a Custom Item under Other Items. A Custom Offer inside a course group gives that course’s participant places.
